What You Can Commission

HAMPARAN is a small institute, and this page lists only the work that is operating today. Each entry states who it is for, what is actually delivered, and where its limits are. Scope and fees are set per engagement, so the first step is always a conversation.

Operating

Business intelligence and data infrastructure

For: Owners and directors of mid-size Indonesian companies in trading, logistics, and manufacturing, plus government and research partners who need a technical counterpart.
What is delivered: A diagnostic of where the numbers actually live and where they contradict each other; then, if it makes sense, a warehouse and executive dashboard that stay maintained; then standing advisory. Operations research problems — inventory, routing, scheduling, pricing — are handled as separate engagements.
Where it stops: HAMPARAN does not implement ERP systems. Where a client needs one, we advise and integrate, and the implementation is done by a specialist partner.

Operating

Enhanced due diligence reports

For: Law firms, financial institutions without an in-house research desk, and international due diligence providers who need an Indonesian layer that global databases do not carry.
What is delivered: A written report on a named individual or company: identity and corporate record, court and regulatory history, political exposure, adverse media, and connected parties. Every assertion carries its source and the date it was retrieved. Where a record could not be established, the report says so rather than filling the gap.
Where it stops: Public sources only. No paywalled, leaked, or credentialed material, and no covert collection of any kind.

Operating

Commissioned research and analysis

For: Donors, ministries, regional governments, industry associations, and research partners working on Indonesian food systems, energy, banking, compliance, or regional development.
What is delivered: Studies built on primary data we hold and maintain ourselves, using the same identification standards as our published work. Deliverables range from a short evidence note to a full study with a replication package. Existing data assets are catalogued openly, so a commissioning party can see what the analysis would rest on before agreeing to it.
Where it stops: We do not take commissions that require a predetermined conclusion. The data leads the verdict, and that condition is stated before an engagement is accepted, not after.

Pilot engagements

HRL — Indonesian risk records

For: Compliance officers at financial institutions carrying enhanced due diligence obligations under POJK 8/2023.
What is delivered: A working terminal over Indonesian court records and the national sanctions list, searchable by name, with a per-name profile and a deterministic summary of each case drawn from the stored record rather than generated at query time.
Where it stops: Offered as a pilot, not as a finished subscription. Two limits are stated in every engagement: the corpus covers part of Indonesia’s district courts rather than all of them, and a name match reports that a record bearing that name exists, not that it belongs to a particular person. Identity resolution is being built and is not yet in operation.

Two standing conditions

A client of the commercial side never becomes the subject of published HAMPARAN research. The two sides of the institute share data infrastructure, not case files.
Anything published openly is reported in aggregate. Individual names appear only inside client deliverables and inside HRL, which sits behind authentication.
HCI, our corporate records layer, is under construction and is not offered for sale. It is listed among our products because it is being built, not because it is available.
